Well I got my first customers looking at the $Runner....I really don't want to sell it. The insurance is so much $$$, and the gas mileage is retarded. But it has been a very reliable truck, even the 3.slow has been trustworthy. I know I could squeeze 17mpg out of it if I could just learn to drive a lil slower and maybe regear. Gas is getting cheaper, anyway. The insurance sucks as well, but it will go down eventually. I just see so much potential when I look at sitting in my driveway (I look at it all the time hehe) If I knew how much money I'd be making the next couple years it would be a lot easier to make this decision.

Oh man don't talk like that, it is looking more and more like I'm ong to habe to part with my baby too, the only difference is that I will hopefuly be getting anoher 3rd gen. butI'm already having second thoughts about selling her, she and I have been trough alot of stuff, it'my first car, how do you just get rid of something like that, so many memories, and I haven't even putt mine up for sale yet and I'm already getting cold feet, what are we going to do. I think we should form a support group, there has to be many more like us, 4Runner's Anon, for those addicted to their first love"their Toyota Trucks" and ho to deal with the possible parting and post parting syndromes. Hang in there we can make it through together, come on guys give my man Los Gatos? some support here.

Used cars are always a crapshoot...sometimes you luck out, sometimes you get screwed. I think I've decided to keep my 4Runner. I don't care what my parents say, I'll live in it if I have to. Pepe never let me down, I can't turn my back on him. I'm gonna go give him a hug.

Los Gatos,

Pepe...funny name.

Well, why don't you give Pepe a nice engine cleaning so he feels the love?

Have a good weekend,
Bob

I'm on the other end of the spectrum...

You see, I'm the person the (a) 4runner was just SOLD TO....
and it's like some sort of cool miracle in my life! I *LOVE* blackie! 500 miles so far, and no let downs (LOL)

Los Gatos- if you DO pass it on...make sure it goes to a good home (like my '98 just did )

And really, how much money are you going to save on gas by getting something other than econobox? (anything, as long as it's a toyota!)

Think it thru, if it's NEVER let you down and cost you not much more than gas and oil - keep it!

and DON'T get a VW fox wagon

Well if it got 25+ mpg that would be a noticeable increase...plus insurance is less. But I think it's worth the extra money.

Aww man, all are gona make this selling thing harder one me if you keep this up. I've got so many good times in my Runner, gota love all that cargo room w/ the seats folded down, LOL. But I really think it's time for her to move on, and if I can score another black Runnr about the same year then I should be okay. But the god times and memories that I have had with her will never fade, dang I can see I'm realling going to need to seek council after this one. Three cheers for Toyota and thebest dang trucks/SUV's ever made .

That's funny man. My mom bought my first car new in 1982 so it had been in the family quite a while when I got it when I was 15 (1995) I put 70K on it in my 4 years of highschool. Also lost my virginity in that car.. It left the family for about 3 years and my mom got a chance to buy it back and now it sets in the garage. It's in pretty sad shape but I hope to fix it up a bit for my little sister to one day drive when she get's her license.. Yes cars hold good memories!!
