Make sure that the battery your buying matches what type of connections you have, like posts, flush mount, etc. You also might want to at least change the ends of your lines if they are crusty and corroded.

As far as which to get, check this out: http://www.optimabatteries.com/publi...utomotive.html

Get you a premium set of battery cables.
If your gonna go Optima, might as well change out your terminals, and might even consider doing the power wire mod, run 4 gauge from your battery to your fuse box instad of what is there now.

Yeah I was thinking about doing that as well, at least with the ground. Is it difficult to do on the fuse box?

There is a spacer that goes under the Optima to make up for height. Usually comes with the battery, but make sure one is included.

You can make you own if need be, but if you don't the battery will sit low and you'll have to mod the factory hold down bracket in some way.

I'm on my 2nd Optima Red Top. It will mount right into the tray with no issues, provided of course your last battery did not corrode the battery area.
