How do i find out my tranny code?

Im pulling out the old tranny that was in my 4runner. Im looking for the code to find out if its what an interested party is looking for. Is there a place were its stamped? The 4runners an 85 efi but bare bones it only came with a/c and a clock. It had the vynal floor manual windows.....
I dont know if that changes anything but i thought i would post it to see. I will get some pics up tonight if needed

it's printed on the sticker on the driver's door jamb, if it's the original tranny.

ok thanks i will check that out tomorrow. As far as i know its a rebuilt tranny but stock replacement, or maybe the one that was in it. Theres markings on it i have to finish reading. Theres some road grime on it but no leaks so trying to find something gentle enough to leave the markings but get road grit off is kinda hard. I usually use oil eater on that stuff but i want to know what the markings are on it so if it was rebult i can show the interested partys those markings.

The tranny in question is the one im pulling out of the 4runner to replace with a marlin.
