To check for TDC (Trouble Codes) see link below and jump TE1 to E1 terminals. Turn ignition switch to run position and count the blinks of the CEL.

What's wrong with Fram? What else do you recommend?

I know its off subject, but, where is the list of stuff not to use on my toyota

And I use an OEM air filter. I used to have a K&N but someone put up a poll and posts after that convinced me that K&N wasn't doing me any favors out here in the desert.

I find that when I don't use OEM parts, I end up servicing my vehicle more often.

eg.

I got 3 brake master cylinders through Checker/Schucks/Kragen for my Land Cruiser, none of which lasted longer than 6 months before a seal went bad, leaked, and my brakes went gushy.

Finally, I bit the bullet and bought a new OEM toyota master cylinder through the dealership, put that on, and I haven't had a problem with it in 2 years.
