head swap
Here is my tale of woe. I'm driving a 1990 4runner 4cly for the family car.
It seems the oil pump failed and something catastrophic went wrong in the engine. Its done for. I just happen to be rebuilding a 1983 22r for a buddy of mine. The block is done, and I'm wondering if its possible to put my 89 head on it. Do any of you know if the oil and water journals will line up? This would save my life. Also I've rebored it 40 over, has anyone had any overheating problems with an overbore?
