Starting problems after rebuild

Well after dropping back in my engine (22re) got every thing hooked up and go to crank it and i just get a single click, i think its just the starter im gonna take it back off and take it to advance auto to get it tested, but could if possiblely be a bad ground some where, also i saw that my injectors leak really bad now cause of the seals that were all dry rotted, i was wondering where i could get some new ones.

As for the starter, it sounds like a classic case of bad contacts. Although since you just RNR the engine, be sure to check all of your ground connections. As for the leaky fuel injectors, I would just get injector seals at the dealership although any aftermarket ones will probably be fine.

Wires ok? everything grounded? Battery alright?
Did the motor turn over by hand, at least 360 degrees?

Had this problem with mine when I first got it. On my 84 22r, the power from the battery hooks straight on the starter, with a smaller leg going off to the fuse box. So where is the 2nd leg or ground leg for the starter. On mine there was a small wire that ran from the block to the frame. But when the last owner rebuilt the rig he never reconnect the ground strap. For a quick check I ran a jumpper wire from the ground on the battery to a spot on the block. Motor turned over like it was happy and fired right up. So I then ran a ground wire from the battery to a spot on the motor. I have had no more problems with the click or real slow turning starter when it does spin.
