84 toyota pickup dual row timing chain swap

So I have an 84 yota that was produced in 9/83 but makes it an 84. It has the 22r in it. It currently is a single row timing chain and I want upgrade it to a dual row timing chain....but I keep reading all sorts of different things. What all do I need to do this? I bought a dual row timing chain kit, but someone said something about an oil drive gear.

Just curious why you feel you need a double row chain on a low horsepower engine if you had 500 Horsepower plus I could understand your reasoning

Your oil pump drive gear should come with the kit .

You did buy the Kit one of the Kits Hyped by one of the Aftermarket Companies and not just the double row timing chain and gears ??

yep .. if you have the kit .. the only extra you need it the correct oil drive gear , they are different between the single and double .
I have done
it many times , and I think it is a great up grade .

Is that a gear I can buy at like my local auto parts store? Or is online better?
