I had a heck of a time finding a fix for my power steering belt tensioner pulley. The part from the local Toyota dealership was $256. The only used one I could find was $65. and it had roughly 100,000 miles on it and it was a 2 hour round trip away. I finally searched the computer for the number stated on the bearing itself and came up with this part number - (6204-2RSJ). This bearing number is a SKF bearing number. I found out that NAPA has them in stock for roughly $8.00 This is a Chinese bearing that is an exact match to the bearing in the tensioner pulley for the power stearing belt. The bearing has to be pressed out and pressed back in even though it has a safety locking collar on it to hold it in. This is a perfect fit for a 94 4x4 pickup with a 22re. I know it will fit others and hope this info makes your hunt for this part easier on the wallet. Don't let any parts store sell you the tensioner pulley for the AC compressor, as it is totally different in size etc.

I have two Autozone A/C tensioner pulleys on my truck with no problems at all. Will my engine catch on fire if I don't use a power steering tensioner pulley? I don't think so lol

 

I was just being cautious, because I didn't know if the AC compressor belt tensioner pulley (being smaller) would be able to be adjusted tight enough by the power steering tensioner bolt to adjust the factory power steering belt tight enough. I'm glad that you cleared that up for myself and others, because that is another way to deal with the situation on the cheap.

 

Yeah, I understand. I was going through the same thing when I compared them and put it on anyways..there is still tons of adjustment available either way and my belts are nice and snug.

I have yota 1990 v6 3.0, I see the power stering container not in right level, look to close to the spark plug cable,,,i put a water lever in the top of the container and the inclination to the right side for a 1inch, I check the mount motor and everything look good, any idea that I can fit this issue?

 

The power steering pump (and the reservoir on top of it) tilt to tension the belt. Therefore, I would never expect to find one "level."

If yours is too far off (inclination of 1 inch doesn't tell me much), it is possible you have the wrong length belt,

 

Second on the belt length, either due to the wrong belt on there or to wear, but doesn't it move toward the fender as you tighten it? Can't remember but I think that's right.

If it doesn't leak, doesn't squeal and is not low on fluid, leave it alone.

It is OK for it to be tilted. As long as the belt fits over the pulleys, if it does not fit over the pulleys someone gave your the wrong belt or maybe you mixed it up with one of the others.
