if any of you guys run the 1kz/te engine, the diesel one, if you pm me ill mail you the details of how to block your egr off, it only takes a cable tie on this engine, and results are well worth it.

Ha ha! I am a vegetarian tree hugger. That is what the whole tread lightly thing is about. I live off tofu, beans, etc. I also have all the emissions stuff on my truck. So why is it so hard for other people to see themselves as different in that leading a polluting lifestyle is excusable, and brag about not having to worry about smog? Kansas has no inspections at all, we also have this problem figuring out evolution.

Nothing agains vegetarians (my wife's a vegetarian) I was just making a joke. And personally, living in the Republic of Kalifornistan, if it passes smog here, I don't see the big deal. Also, if your vehicle is running like crap because of it, I guarantee it is polluting more than if it is running good without it. He's in college and $$$ is tight.

If you were a true tree hugger then you would have no vehicles to pollute with. Hydrogen is not the answer either, more pollution is produced from its manufacturing than your average gas hog on the road burning fossil fuels.

We won't have to get rid of them,we'll use them up your and your grandkids might all be driving electric or hydrogen powered vehicles and tree huggers will find something else to whine about.

I really doubt you will see any major head temp change with the egr blocked...In the 80's and 90's the smog systems on a lot of cars from different makers made it worse not better b/c they were still working the bugs out...i have had numerous cars of mine pass and run better with the emission stuff off...Now i am not saying go rip it off my 4 runner still has it...but when the time comes and it starts wearing out i may look into my options...and here in Texas our emissions are just as strict as Cali and we have to do it yearly

I was raised by hippies in a logger family. I'd be a logger myself, but they're going extinct, an I smart enough to knows it. I also bang bongos and kick the footbag with the hippies sometimes. Haven't cut my hair in about 15 years either.

If I were a true tree hugger I would just kill myself to avoid hurting the environment any more....
I acknowledge my utter hypocrisy in owning a fossil fuel burning vehicle. Although I traded in my 2002 GMC sierra to drive something smaller and with less carbon emissions. Turned out to be a better vehicle anyway.

Just how much power can be generated from windmills?(which nobody wants to look at) Solar panels? give me a break. Lets go Nuke power ,then we can bury all the waste and contaminate everything.

I for one do my part, I try to rid the earth of the biggest methane gas producer one tri-tip at a time.
