XP updates today

Anyone else getting the error message from Microsoft today saying it can not install the Flash update?

I got the other 3 updates today, but not the Flash one.
Note that the kb size of the update file is 0 kb.
Ya think that has something to do with it???

Remember, if you do not update your PC, you are allowing your PC to become a hackers playtool to infest other PCs.

Every 2nd Tuesday of the month MS releases new updates for its OS.

Just checked. No new updates today. Maybe they sent you a special update just to mess up your system.

Flash? From MS? Is there a "KB" number on it?

There were some updates today, one of them critical, but I don't see anything having to do with Flash.

Jack, you might have yours set to auto install your updates.
I do not, it only notifies me when there are new updates out.
I like to install them myself.

Mark, it says KB913433

That's interesting... The article is real, but the update isn't in today's download batch. I dunno why you got it.

Here's the Knowledge Base ("KB") article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913433

My guess is that your batch caught a flag that said to download it, but then the patch wasn't really there.

If you go straight to here Microsoft Update Web site, (pick "Custom" when you get the choice) does the update show as an option under "High Priority" or "Software"?

edit: so Chris sees it too... Interesting. The KB article gives a scenario where it won't show, maybe that's what I'm seeing and you guys are the norm.
