Router probs

I think I've locked myself out of my router. Being the numbskull I am, I forgot I was wireless and made a change in the settings of the router... now I can't get back in with either wireless or wired. All I did was disable WEP so I could let a friend bum off of my wireless for the nite.

Is there any way I can completely reset the router? Powering it off and on doesn't seem to work. It's a DLink DI-614+. Thanks for any help guys.

Well, I have another similar networking problem. I can't set up my laptop to "see" the other computers in my apt. The other computer is wireless, while my laptop is mostly wired. I tried using the home network setup wizard, and it keeps telling me that it can't complete the setup. When I try to look at my workgroup computers, it tells me that the workgroup isn't available or that I don't have access to it.

Is there a better way to set up the computers other than using that wizard? I remember reading a while back that there was, but I can't remember where I read it or what it was.

Are all the boxes members of the same workgroup?

Yep. I don't know what I did (big surprise), but last nite it was working ok. Now it's not. I'm beginning to wonder if it's my router. Since the reboot, I haven't made any changes to it's settings, i.e. no security or anything. So it should be working, right?

have you tried to goto the machine via IP address opposed to network nieborhood ?
like START RUN the type "\\192.168.1.101"
To find teh IP address got START RUN type "cmd" then in the window type "ipconfig" that shoudl get you the IP address.
If this works more than likely your routers okay and its your settings on the machines or you may have the wondows XP firewall turned on and its blocking File sharing ... have you installed SP2 ? I think deffault it may be all blocked, worth a check.
