Ram brand

Currently I have 512 MB (two 256 MB chips) of PC3200 RAM.
Yeah, underpowered just a bit.

Upgraded my sons 1.7 GHz Intel from 512 to 1 GB over Christmas, and what a diff that made in map loading and game play.

I want to add 2 GB (two 1 GB chips) of ram to my current 512 for a total of 2.5 GB.

The current RAM is just some generic stuff the shop had when I ordered my parts when I built this PC 2.5 years ago.

I am wondering if it makes that much of a difference to go with generic stuff again, or spend a little more for some better stuff such as the Corsair XMS.

Corsair also has a Value Select RAM for about $30 cheaper, but not that much of a difference that I would go with it if it is better to stick with slightly better RAM.

Here is some generic stuff on sale at a local shop by me.

I do not plan on overclocking the RAM, and I have read the better the RAM, the better it overclocks, but as stated, I do not plan on doing so.
I only OC my CPU, and it is a 2.4c Intel chip currently running at 30% over at 3.12 GHz for the past year.

i have used the value select on a few pc's that i have built for people and have had good luck with it but these pc's are mainly used for the internet and word and some sims. i'm using a cheap generic brand that is suposed to be ddr433 but only runs at ddr333 speeds, but it was cheap and i really dont need to overclock yet.
