different destop photo, dual monitors

I have tried searching google and haven't found instructions that have worked. I found one that made an internet addy permanent on my desktop but it only stayed for 3 minutes and then reverted back to the normal picture. I'd like to have my truck on one screen (or my favorite truck of the moment) and then some of my pictures on the other. I have one 17'' monitor and one 22'' monitor.

any help is greatly appreciated.

-Brandon

Right now I am getting the same picture on both monitors, I want two completely different pictures. What it sounds like you are saying would make it so that both monitors act like on with picture.

Can you tell me what your monitor resolution is on the 22 and 17? And let me know which one you have on the right, and which one you have on the left.

You Can Have 6 Different Monitors, Yet You Still Only Have 1 Desktop! The Only Thing That You Can To Is Extend The Desktop To The Other Monitors.

I've seen it done before. The way that has been described above seems to work for everyone but me.

I know it can be done...help.

You will have to adjust the positioning of the blue image on the left up or down depending on how you have your monitor positioned. You will also need to make sure that you have "extend my desktop onto this monitor" checked as well. When selecting your background image to use, make sure it is set to "tile".

Your desktop background image should be ONE image.

I'm not sure whats going on.

I do have the secondary image on the primary monitor.

i googled the how to many, many months ago. I have had multiple monitors up and running for a quite a while and i have since day one had two different pics up.

I changed my pic to double check and it works fine, The only thing i can think of is i have multimonitor task bar 2.1 running. but i think i put that in to get my orientation right. and to keep the programs running on monitor 2 over on monitor 2.

is everyone having problems with the way i wrote it up?

I will try your way on my primary monitor and see if that works. Maybe it just won't work on the second monitor.

Did you try that image I uploaded Hayes? Just download the file size to your desktop and then right click on your desktop, properties tab, find the image, and then make sure it's tiled. Then go to settings and make sure your second monitor (19) has "extend my desktop... blah blah blah" checked.

This is assuming that your 17" monitor is your primary... your 17" should show blue, and your 19" should show grey.

Is this supposed to help me set up different pictures or the dual monitors. I have the duals working, and have for several months. I may just be blinded by idiotitis (get it idiot - itis ) but I don't understand how this is supposed to help me.
