Custom OS X install DVD?

Back when I used windows, I used to create custom bootable install cd's that would install updates, and customize other aspects of the OS. Is there a way to do this to OS X? So I do not have to manually install all of the updates, or redownload them? I googled it but nothing much showed up. Thanks

I don't think you can make a custom OS X installation disk, but you can make a custom update disk from Apples update download area. It has individual updates as well as packages of all updates. It's just one more disk to load at a reinstall and better than doing a auto download install.
