I was thinking it might have something to do with 'Net 2.
Suppose to be very fast, and has an advantage if scientists need to work on projects together and send/receive mass amounts of data in a short time.

Corey pointed me to this new thread, so this is a duplicate message from the old thread. Corey, you've got some insane speeds from your cable connection!
SpeedTest looks pretty, but someone's confused...
This is what SpeedTest tells me (consistent across 5 runs):

This is what SpeakEasy tells me right after:

Pay no attention to SpeedTest claiming that it's a 2150 mile trip - it's picking up the geographical location of my domain.
side note: this is my home connection with Verizon's FiOS service. (15Mbps fiber)
