Can not access my Linksys routers page

To access it I type in http://192.168.15.1 from any PC hooked up to it from my network.

Can not do it from my main PC or others.
No problem getting online, or you would not see this thread here.

All the PCs go through my Linksys.
What does it mean when I can no longer access it?

No viruses or spyware on on my PCs.

Most routers that take that IP form (192.xxx.) resolve at 192.168.2.1... It could be that your router switched IP addresses. I don't personally have a Linksys router, so I can't really help, sorry.

I thought it was 192.168.1.1

EDIT: That's what it is for my Linksys

it varies by manufacturer. Linksys defaults to 192.168.1.1 while netgear defaults to 192.168.0.1. It also depends if youve set it yourself or not. try any of those to see if you can get in, if not, perhaps you can link up directly to the router via USB and a linksys utility.

Or run a ping utility that will make a list of every used IP on the network. Then you can test each one (hopefully not that many less someone is stealing net from you) to see if it is your router...

I have the Vonage Linksys router with the telephone ports on it since I am on Vonage.
I have always accessed the router many a time in the past to adjust things as in adding and setting up gaming ports and other stuff.

You can see the IP I listed above here.
http://www.pnw4runners.com/temp/linksys.jpg

My main PC I am on now is the IP that ends with 2.

you might want to try power cycling the router and rebooting your computers for a good reset. Pull the power form the router for 15 seconds or so and put it back in. in the mean time, reboot.

can you access it directly via usb?

My main PC is not setup to run via USB.
Never ran it, as cat 5 cable is better.

I do run USB on the laptop with an adaptor supplied from Comcast.

In the meantime I will cycle and shut down.
Last time I did this was a few weeks back.

OK, I got in!
After cycling both the router and the Motorola Surfboard 5100 modem, rebooting, it works.

This is the model, and I did use the IP I listed at the very top.
It is the IP you use for this Vonage router.
Broadband Router with 2 Phone Ports RT31P2

Laptop will not connect though, but I suspect a faulty USB port on the side, as it has been loose, so it is not getting a good connection.
Time to heave it in the trash and pick up a nice used laptop sometime.

This one is a P300 Fijitsu, very old unit.
I will get a wireless one in the future and add a wireless access point to my current setup.

Update, laptop is working.
Bad connection from the USB end on the small hub between the laptop and the router.
Replugged it in, and the laptop is working.

Talking

so next time you want to look up what machine your router is on your network (assuming your computer is using DHCP to get it's IP address).. on windows, go to start->run and type in "cmd /k ipconfig /all" then look through the info to find your ethernet adapter (wireless, network card, usb, whatever...) and look at the gateway address for that adapter. that's your router address.
