Who's got the most radios?

Other than an Alpine AM/FM, I've got a Radio Crap CB with a 4' Firestick. I'm interested to find out how many people keep scanners and other radio's in their rigs and I'd love to see pictures. A friend of mine got me into railfanning and we're both looking for places to put scanners in our rigs!

Lets see I have a Cobra CB on the dash, ICOM 2 Meter on the shelfit, Uniden Scanner in the cup holder (I knew they could be used for something), and a pair of Cobra FRS/GMRS in the glove box.

I would like to see some pics of your scanner setup if you happen to have any. I'm thinking of doing something similar.

I'd like to see how you have the cabin set up too!

Is the ICOM 2 a Ham radio? Does it come in handy while wheeling or is it a hobby of yours? Can we see a picture of how you have your antennas placed/hooked up?

Thanks!
Steve

The stereo is single DIN, the Beartracker is sligtly less than single DIN, so I had to trim around it. I don't have any pics, but I will try to snap a couple for you soon.

Sorry for the delay, just got back from Ocean City State Park on the 7th and immediately went to work that night, just now getting back into the swing of things.

I don’t have any pics (no digi cam yet) but my scanner is a handheld that I drop into the cup holder, the FRS/GMRS sits in the hole next to the scanner when it is in use, the CB is a Cobra 75WXST the antenna adapter is mounted to that piece of trim plastic in front of the shifters and the rest of the radio is hooked to a mike holder just above the factory clock, the 2 meter ham is mounted on some aluminum angle coming off of the Pace Edwards Shelf It (in this spot it was a head grabber at first but I got used to it and haven’t had a problem since).

Lets see antennas on the roof I have the CB (maxrad 36") in the center towards the rear next to one of my radar detector sensors, I have a cell antenna (Wilson 12" magnet mount) in the center towards the front, and the 2 meter (also a maxrad) on the left fender

As for the 2 meter it is a hobby that I am just starting to get into, I don’t have much opportunity to go wheelen right now I mostly have it tuned to the fire bands at the moment, I am learning more about armature radio all the time. By the way my call sign is KD7ZKB

Cool, thanks. I'm looking at getting into Amature radio and i've been talking with a friend about getting our licenses soon. We've got some 10 meter handhelds and cb's. He just bought a scanner but it's a base station, way to big for his jeep.

I'm looking at the stuff from ICOM, but I'll probably end up with something much cheaper to start off with.

The little 3 channel ones that you can get at Radio Shack. They are great for trips and in camp communication.

COBRA 148 GTL with USB/LSB
Extra added frequencies waaay below the regular 11meter and waaaay above.
In-between freq's with the flip of my PA switch and a 2pill driver getting the wattage swinging around 350. I've also got another cobra 19 peaked and tuned swinging around 30 watts barefoot.
Antennas: Wilson Trucker 5000 w/ 36" extension on the 148 GTL
102" steel whip w/ 8" spring on the cobra 19
I talk approx 15 miles on average with my current setup....but sometimes I talk all over the world.

I just bought an ICOM 207H Dual Band and a Radio Shack Pro-83 Scanner. I'm gonna study and take the test the next time it's local.

Can anybody recommend antennas for the previously mentioned radios?
