Where did you get your Firestik?

As the title asks,I just want to know where everyone ordered their Firestik antennas from. I'm wanting to get either a 3 or 4 ft Firestik and the hood channel mount to modify for the rear hatch mount like in Bob's write up. Thanks for any help.

Stuart's CB

Not sure if he ships, but this is the guy who tunes my CB for me.
Great guy to deal with.

I run the 4' model.

Dude,

Alf Enterprises is the place to go. Cheap as anybody, friendly, great service. Make sure you get the new coax that requires no soldering too. It just uses some new fangled connections and is great. I don't remember what it is called but they will know if you ask them. Ask to talk to Alvin a.k.a. ALF as he's the man that can tell you just what you want.

This is what I got!

Firestik II

Coax

Don't forget the quick disconnect and the HD spring!

Good luck!

Brian,
Do you have a number or website? Wouldn't mind talking to him to see what I can get worked out.

Check my edit above.
I got a Cobra 75
Firestik II
Fire ring coax
HD spring
quick disconnect

For less than $150 shipped if I remember correctly.

mounted on my ARB so no mounting bracket

NOTE: I still got my receipt in my folder for receipts, so if you want some exact part #s I can go dig them up if you want them. Just let me know.

Good luck!

Wow.
I don't know how you did that.
I called them and they wanted $50 to ship $45 worth of stuff. Everything but the Cobra. Their prices were low but the shipping killed the deal. I went local and spent more for the 4' Firestik II, Mount Kit, Spring and Quick Disconnect. About $60 and zero shipping costs. I got the CB itself from Amazon.com for $92 and no shipping.

My Firestik II is black with a red tip covering that goes over that little gold tip.

See if you have any local CB radio shops, that's where I got mine at. After mounting the antenna, I took it back and they checked and tuned the SWR for free. Also, was able to ask lots of questions and get the best parts for mounting it too. And the price was comparable to on-line and no shipping charges.

I got my 4' USA Flag colored Firestik off Ebay pretty cheap ($14 I think) and picked up a spring mount from the local Fry's Electronics for $5.99.

Thanks guys, I actually took none of ya'lls advice (thanks for the help anyway ) but4x4 Connection here on the east coast sells them and I got a 4' Firestik II for about $20 and the coax and quick disconnect for the antenna for another 20 or so. I got the CB and all hooked up and should have some pics soon. I got a cool place that I mounted my Uniden 510XL. Pics are coming when I get some time.

I got the whole thing with moulded mount from mike for like $30... well, maybe it was more like $40 with the q-disconnect... I know my FireFly was only $14. but either way I would definately get the moulded mount if your going to put it on the rear of your rig. Definately a lot cleaner of an install!
