I was wondering if any of you guys use a GPS module hooked up to your Palm Pilot. I use a RadioShack GPS module hooked to my Palm Zire 71, and I run a program called Mapopolis, which has detailed full color maps and voice navigated door-to-door directions.

I was wondering if there is a Palm program that I could use that would allow me to leave a "breadcrumb" trail like you do on, say a Garmin Etrex that would allow me to tell where I have been for offroading.

Adam - is your GPS module specific to the Palm? I have a Palm Clie and would like to do the same thing...

 

Yes, it has a cable that hooks directly into the GPS and then hooks to my Palm. But unfortunately they don't make it anymore, and never made a cable for the Clie. There are others out there, like Navman and Copilot? i think.

This is my set up.
I have a Sony Clie SJ30. I too purchased the Mapopolis program and run it off my Garmin Etrex.
I purchased the cable from here:

Works great with my Sony.
