stereo shuts off/back on randomly

Recently my panasonic stereo in my car has been shutting off and then turning back on within a second or two. This usually happens right after I start the truck. I need to check the connections. I've had no problems with the alt or batter and nothing else fluctuates. I've never seen it do this. Anybody ever seen this before?

I need to check the connections but it doesnt do it but maybe 2 or three times a week. Any ideas would be wonderful.

Yeah absolutely. There are some great trails up this way.. not to mention some of the best scenery in the south.

Does it have a removeable faceplate?
MY first panosonic had a bad solder point internally that with occasional minor vibration would cause the face plate to shut down. The player would keep playing music but it looked like the thing was off until pressure was applied to the face plate. It's worth considering the unit to be defective and asking for a replacement. Mine defintely was.
