Remote Starter Installation Help

I began installation of my remote starter today on my 2001 4runner. the final step is to connect a wire to the green/white wire that gets power when the brake is depressed. i have searched for about an hour and cannot find this wire. if anyone has ever done this before and knows where the wire is, or if anyone has a diagram or simply an explanation as to where to find it i would really appreciate it

LR,

look at your brake pedal. at the top of the brake pedal area, there is a white plug/harness that is attached to it. most likely that white/green wire you are looking for is hidden beneath plastic black wire covering.

you really have to stick your head back in that area to see it. best to remove the bottom panel to allow yourself the head room to do it

i second what bob said.

you realllllly have to get your head up there with a good flashlight. you DO need to unwrap that electrical tape wrapping.

when i did this, i did remove the bottom dash panel.
