More speakers???

I just put a box that holds two tens in my reg. cab 87 yota pickup. I had 6x9s in boxes behind the seat, and now I only have the 4"s in the dash. Its not enough. Anyone have speakers in the doors or any where else?? Pics if possible.

Try mounting some in the kickpanels.
You can go for Q-Logic, but they are plastic, so don't get any high quality speakers since they will sound like crap anyway in the plastic.

I think www.Crutchfield.com may have an application chart.

I thought of mounting 5.25" in the kicks, but there is bunch of stuff behind them. I dont know what any of it is, so I leave it alone. Crutchfield has nothing for kick panels. I was thinking of mounting 6.5" in the doors, but where I want to mount them is solid metal. If I go any heigher on the door, I will get in the way of the window track.

I did not see that. Sorry, Im am drunk as hell. Thanks for the link. I will most likely get them. But then again, I like customizing things. So I might make some out of glass or something.

I don't think you were supposed to see it if you used the vehicle information.
Those kickpanels are garbage anyway. And for that price? You can make your own with fiberglass for under $25. Plus it's fun.
I did it a few times, but a friend makes 'em better, so when the time comes, I will have some nice customs made.

Plastic = flimsy = bad sound = waste of money for good speakers
Fiberglass = stiff = better sound = cheap solution for way better sound.

Not many people know that the enclosure makes the speaker. They get these high end subs and stick them in poorly made boxes and then scratch their heads when my stuff sounds better. (garbage at the moment, just some RF subs and stock front stage)

Slap a 15" in a box made from ¼" than do it with ¾" or 1". What would sound more accurate?

I would do a 3/4" inclouser. I have two Pioneer TS-w1500spl subs in my yota in a 3/4" box it it is soooooooooo tight. I think you will be happy with a 3/4" box.
