looking for system advice
as of now, i have nothing. i had a decent deck until it was stolen
. so now im looking to put in a new deck, speakers, amp, and one 10 into my normal cab truck. im probably going to do things one by one, and my first priority is good speakers to put into my doors. so if anyone knows what kind would be good quality that would fit into my skinny doors, please share your brains knowledge. thanks

Heres what Im using........
Im using JL Audios in my '91,mids and tweets in the doors(JL Audio xr-650's) and 2-8's behind the seat.Alpine head unit 9827.
Im 6'1" and still have plenty of leg room for long journeys. Not only that but I have a jammin system that I really enjoy.Great sound qaulity and more than enough volume to leave your ears ringing if you want.
heres a few pics.....

First I would go to www.crutchfield.com to see what would fit in the doors. They have a very nice fitting process that will give you an idea what you can do. Then I would fabricate a box to go behind the seat to hold the amp and sub. In a regular cab pickup you can really get some bump.

Working in a small space like a std cab, When it comes time to build an enclosure, think "fiberglass".
Glassing around odd-shaped panels and uneven floors will let you get more internal volume vs truck space used instead of using flat pieces of MDF. I would still use MDF for the panel the speakers mount into.
Techiques for glassing cabinets inside vehicles are available in many places on the net, its easy to do.
