That's cool. I know I have asked him if you can order it unloaded before, and he quickly told me that JL wont do it. I guess because wants you to put a JL in it, since it is their box. I think it would be a hard item to find used, but keep looking!

 

yea, my QLogic bulky POS will have to do for now, bunjied down in the cargo area.

 

I went with a QLogic Q-Forms box in my 4Runner. I think I got it from SoundDomain.com But, you can probably find them cheaper elsewhere. I looked at the JL Stealthboxes but they were way overpriced.

I have been satisfied with it. I could use some sound deadening material in my truck though, especially back there with the sub. I had an Infinity Kappa Perfect sub to go in but it wouldn't fit. But, that's cool b/c another YotaTech member ended up with it. (I still want to hear it Keisur) I ended up going with a JL 10W3-D2 sub instead. It's got close to 300W going to it from an MTX amp. Plenty loud for me. The best part is that the box is barely noticeable.

 

I tried to do lunch when I blew through Auburn but... haha. I may end up getting one of those boxes you have but then "rigging" it up and modifying it a little to fit that sub I got from you.

 

I know you tried but I guess that's what I get for going to class.

You could probably make it work. The basket of the sub just hit the box part of the QLogic box. That part that goes into the storage compartment. If you get one you will notice that the size they use could be bigger. I.E. there is more room in the storage compartment/behind panel than what is used by QLogic folks. That park of the bok is MDF so could probably be modified easily.

 

Wes can your buddy still get the stealth box for $499? If so could you PM me and let me know some more details please?
