HU/Speaker impedance

When looking for a new HU and speakers, does the impedance of the speakers have to match that of the HU? Like 2 ohm speakers attached to a 2 ohm output and only that? Thanks!

have to? no, but it could affect the measured power output, depending on the difference... most speakers are 2/4 ohm anyways, so it typically doesn't matter.
