How to wire in additional speakers?
#2
you should be able to look at the old speakers that you are taking out and take note of which wire is hooked up to the positive side, and which goes to the negative side. then just connect them to the new speaker

If you are using a harness for your stereo, I'd use the stock speaker wires. Just see which colored wires go where. Sometimes, the wires will work on either positive or negative. I don't know why the factory does that. If you hook up negative to positive, the only thing that will happen is the speaker won't turn on or it will make a distorted sound. If you don't have the harness to your deck, just run new wires. It's really easy.

if you hook them up backwards (positive wire to negative on speaker and vice versa), it will make the speaker fire out of phase from the other speakers if the others are hooked up correctly. this is done in some home stereo setups and a few car stereo setups, but 99% of the time, you want your speakers firing in phase, as you'll get the most output from it this way...
