HELP!!! (stereo wiring)

Hey guys,
tore apart the 4runner tonight in hopes to wire my amp. I would post this in stereo section but I dont get many replys and I need the truck to be back together for tomorrow morning. I have the back of the stock stereo and I need to know which wires are the speakers (left, right front & left right back). What colors are the wires running into the stock unit?
its a 2002 4runner sr5
any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks

well if you have no other choice, remove each speaker and look at the color wire going to it. Are you installing a new head unit or just an amp and speakers. Stereo wiring harnesess arent too bad. Give us some more info an we'll try an help.

usually the speaker wires are the same color just one having a strip on it. (left front speaker = red/red with black strip) the red being the positive and the red with black strip being the negative. That was just an example, but you can find all the speaker wires by this method.....if you take a 12 volt and touch the ends of it to the wires whichever speaker those wires go to will crackle. If that doesn't make sense to you then tell me and I'll try and explain it better.

The the battery method is a great way to test. The speaker wires, if I remember correctly, are purple and green, but I can't recall the other colors right now.

When I installed my sytem, the only factory wire I kept was the main power which was one of the green ones (I figured it out with a test light). I ran new wire for everything else. The stock wires are really small so I figured screw it.

Now it's comming back, isn't it: purple, green, blue, and gray for the speaker wires? It's been a long time.
