Help! No more bump in the trunk!

Hmm..Lets lets see..first, I'm pissed! A little background: Last month my subs suddenly stopped producing any sound except for something very very faint. Checked all the connections and settings, still nothing. Brought it into the shop, they hooked some different speakers up to the Fosgate sub amp....nothing.... So they mail it off to Fosgate for repair and it came back with nothing wrong, it was TEST OK. I get it back, hook it up, and it works perfectly..like it should. OK issue solved.
Tonight, it happens again. I check all the connections and settings again. Nothing. The amp is powered on, lights up, and produces some flat ass faint sound. When it died, I wasn't even pushing it hard. Soo... Whats wrong with it? Any pointers? Ideas?

EDIT: I'm in Wyoming for the next two years and *I think* there might be an audio shop about 3 hours away, so I'd like to try and fix it myself.

Could be your rca outputs on your deck messing up and sending a very faint signal to your amps. Im not sure on this at all, just an idea.

The connections are tight, so tomorrow I'll switch the sub's rca's to the rear preout. Maybe that'll tell me something. Arghhh.. I don't have the cash to drop on a new deck..argh!

Likely so. No warranty on the deck though. It's an eBay special.. Subs/Amp/Labor have 5 year warranty.
