im looking into getting a new head unit and looked in crutchfield, they want 369$ for the headunit i want (sony cdx-m8800) but when i searched on ebay i found venders who sell the same thing which they claim is brand new in box never opened and all that bull˟˟˟˟ for 190 bucks.
whats the deal, can i go wrong ordering off ebay? hows it so cheap?

yes, feedback is like someones credit report. buy from someone who deos alot of buisness, and has few negative comments. i have bought tons of car audio gear off ebay, and i have never had a bad experience.

 

So did you end up buying the Sony off ebay? Funny, I'm looking into buying the Sony CDX-M8805X off a vendor on ebay for $216 and had the same question about it being so cheap.

My thought is that lots of the ebay sellers don't send out mail catalogs or do extensive advertising, they don't have a fancy website that gives you detailed info on every piece of electronic equipment ever made , etc. so their overhead is much lower than a company like Crutchfield.
