I have a 97 4runner limited. It has the factory head unit now but the face lights went out and I'd like to upgrade mine with an indash 6 disc changer unit. I've read that it can easily be done and that it plugs right in to my existing harness.

I got the new unit and tried to plug it in but no go. So I bought a JBL external amp and harness from OEM Value and plugged it in. It powers up the unit and accepts discs but I get no sound. The antenna mast doesn't deploy either.

Am I supposed to have a harness for both of the pin/plugs in the head unit? What am I missing? I've read where other guys have done this no problem. Please help.

I am new here, but am on many other boards. I have come across this place www.oemvalue.com. I have NEVER bought from them so i am not sure how they are. They seem decent though from there site.
