Where/How did you run the Amp Wire?

I have a 3rd gen and I want the Amp under the seat. Where did you guys run the amp wire? i am guessing the firewall. I didn't know if there were any secret places. I see where there are a cluster of wires going through by the fuse box.....is that good? Let me know thanks

sorry to hijack, but.. wouldn't putting your amp under your seat be a bad thing if your running the wires to the back, was under the understanding that you want the wire from your amp to your sub to be the shortest possible (mine is about 10")

I have 2 amps. I have one under my seat and one in the rear.

Also mounted mine under the seat. Ran it through the firewall with its own hole and grommet. Like this:

I have 2 failry large whole is my FW to run my power wire. The amps are atached to the back of the rear seat. I pulled the drivers seat out and ran all my wires under the carpet.

If you run a large enough guage wire to the subs, it could be 10 feet and not degrade the sound at all. its the GROUND wire that should be as short as possible. Even with a large guage wire.

When I hooked up my amp, I wanted it under the seat as well. But I was warned that if I put it under the seat it would over heat and blow fuses more than it should. I mounted mine on the backside of the back seat closest to the subs as possible.

Just thought I'd throw that out there. Can't prove that theory since I never had the amp under the seat. I thought I'd just pass what I heard on.

Under the seat in most cars should get plenty of air flow. I have mine under the seat in my 2000 Runner and it barely gets warm, even cranked. I used to have a pull out Alpine headunit and it got so hot in the dash, you could iron your pants with it....seriously!
