CD Changer Radio Frequency

I have a Sony CDX-A35RF with a A55RF controller (don't know how that happened...but bought the car used) but the previous owner didn't tell me what the frequency was. i'll be searching on Google, but if anybody knows the common frequencies for Sony CD changers, i'm all ears.

I take it that the A55RF works through an FM modulator? If so, start a CD playing and then kick the head unit into "Scan" mode on FM. It should stop once it picks up the changer's freq. Will that work?
