Can an ordinary cd changer be used for a MP3 disc? That's assuming that the HU is MP3-capable.

If not, any recommended brand and model number?

Alpine's 6 (and I'm assuming 12) disc changers play MP3s. Their upper level head units will too.

Alpine is the only manufacturer to still make a CD changer that can be controlled from a head unit directly.

They must be an 'AI Net' head unit to control the changer though.

Plus you can get the iPod interface when that comes out in September. I might just do that actually, considering the 30 gig iPod is as much as the Alpine 6 disc changer. Then you'll have roughly 8,000 songs at your fingertips.
