basslink I vs. basslink II?

basslink I vs. basslink II?
Is the bassslink II worth the extra money? There seems to be a $100 avg. price difference between the two and a difference of 50 watts. What else is different or makes the II better than the I? This will be used in my '94 x-cab to compliment my eclipse 54400 HU and 6 1/2" blaupunkt two ways front and rear. One of the features i liked about the 1 was the remote gain level knob and I havent seen this in the description for the II.
Basically, is the II worth the extra money?

imo the II is lightyears ahead of the I sonically. Having said that, it still isnt quite up to a separate sub in it's own box being pushed by an external amp... But its the closest thing I've heard yet from a preloaded!

Well lets put it like this: For my needs: (very compact/ clean, full sound/not outrageous wake your neighbors up bass/ and price-$150-$250 on ebay) would this be a good choice or are there any other options that meet my above criteria that I should be considering?
