1/2 Din Equalizer in 3rd Gen?

Who has pics of their 1/2 din equalizer mounted under the head unit. I really want to put mine there, but I haven't been able to find a mounting kit. Does anyone make them? How did you mount yours? What did you do about the extra space?

No pics, but you can mount a half-din just as easy as a full din. Just get a sheet of ABS, heat it up, score it, bend it, and make yourself a mounting bracket. It's really easy if you can visualize what I'm talking about. Although I suppose that's why you asked for pics... I'll see if I can find some.

Yea, I guess I'm a visual learner. Full din would fit right on my factory brackets, so I'm not sure how the abs would mount.

Ideally, you'd want a piece of ABS big enough to represent the height of a full din unit, and long enough cover that same space, with enough overlap (say 3 inches or so on both sides) to screw/bolt the factory bracket to. Viola! Mounting point! I'd use good quality ABS. Your local Best Buy or Circuit City installer should have a stack that he can sell you some from.

Thanks for the replies. I figured something out today.

I drilled some small holes in the factory brackets and mounted the equalizer flush with the bottom of the hu. Then I took a piece of abs and cut it to fit the remaining open section and mounted it to the factory bracket. Worked great.

Thanks for the idea.
