OK I've never camped there before, but you don't need a permit, and you can/should make a reservation. A couple other things, the burger shack they had is now gone (just found that out when I went last week), so for lunch it's either pack your own or take a 10 min drive into Gilmer (fast food, convenience stores, few restaraunts). Also if you're camping and want some refreshments (the kind you don't drink on the trail) be forwarned that Gilmer is a dry town, so either bring enough or be prepared for a good drive (I'm not sure where the closest liquor store would be) for refills. Home page is here, though a bit outdated.
I have a feeling this is going to be a very expensive trip for me if keisur comes. I want to regear/get locked so bad, and I know when I see his rig in action it's going to kill me. And now I'm sitting here looking at my latest 4wheelparts catalog, with a whopping 20% discount off purchase coupon good until Jun 30, and I see a package deal for front and rear locker and air compressor for 2005, which would bring it down to 1600, you better not come keisur, you might cause me a divorce

Barnwell radio communication?.......
Just wondering what type of radio I should bring on this trip? Who will be using a CB and who will use the FRS (hand held) type of radio.
Craig.

I have a video with my rig in action for a teaser leadup to the 19th. 1600 is a great price! I think after it was all said and done I blew around 2400 but I got complete diffs so that accounted for the extra 300-400 I guess.
I'll have a cell phone, haha. I can't afford a CB right now.
