As Steve had said, this has come up in the past, and it is an interesting item that may happen down the road sometime.
I am being worked to death right now at my job, 10 to 12 hour days plus the commute, and I just do not have the extra energy to plan this out now.
One reason you have not seen the tech section updated in eons.
I am dead tired, and on weekends I try to recoup.
If I get my Boeing job back later, I will have lots more free time to implement stuff.

Honeslty, seperating the tech section in any way is going to be a mess. These are just ideas, so don't stress yourselves out over any of it. I realize it is a heafty task. Thanks for updating us and all the hard work.

I'm not a big fan of the idea.
For example, I had a 90 pickup, I like to give people advice on this, but I don't want to take the time to browse through that section of the forums to maybe find a post where I can help some one. I'm sure there are many people that have the same situation as I do.
Not to mention, it will just separate every one. It wouldn't be fair to just do it for 4 runners, so you'll have to do it for trucks. Basically what I'm getting at, it will make things MUCH too confusing.

How much pure 4th Gen stuff is there?
I drive a 95 with a 3.4. Can I only read one forum?
Realistically, volume is not that great now and further dillution would be wasteful.
I see a lot of grey, so adding and more specificity would make the moderators already hard, thankless and often fruitless job even harder.
