Remove this 'Ask Question' Placard on Browser
Every time I go to Yotatech the 'Ask Question' pop-up covers the right side of the page and you cannot scroll above or below it to remove it. It basically makes the entire web page unusable. You cannot 'x' it and you cannot click around or behind it.

I get it (see pic below) every time I come on the site, but not after I log in.
If you click on the minus sign on the top right it moves down and out of the way.

Well, it bugs the hell out of me...
Attempted to use it, got a sign in/register box after hitting "ask question" registered, and got dumped at start of the forums.
Attempted to use it again and log in, got dumped to the start of the forums, question never got posted in section I was reading in.
So basically it is designed to force people into signing up, no one will see the question, and it has be front and taking over the page frame.
I wonder if its part of "InternetBrands, Inc." page, and its on by default, but the head Honcho has to configure it to actually post a question.
Its called a "qbox_widget" in CSS
Also, you have to be logged out to see it.

The "Ask a Question" popup is also on other automotive forums such as Honda Tech. I believe it is a relatively new feature from Internet Brands. It is basically a popup that gets you to sign up for the forum and post your topic into a new forum thread. I do not like this idea. When I first saw this feature, I thought it was a "chat" feature like you see on other websites (like LCE Performance), but it is not. It is basically "bait" for non-members. I doubt the moderators here can do anything about it other than asking Internet Brands about it.
Like others have said, it only pops up if you are not logged in. I rarely see it because I keep my account logged in most of the time.

well, little research* shows "InternetBrands, Inc." is known for dodgy ads and things (https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tech...eports-40.html), and its got a 1 star on yelp! (https://www.yelp.com.au/biz/internet-brands-el-segundo)
*maybe the wrong companies I found in the 15 minutes of googling, so these may not be related.
None the less, it is what it is here, regardless of site management/construction, just thinking maybe the admin of the site may have the option to turn it off, or configure it correctly.

86’ Pickup Needs More Balls
Howdy,
i got an 86’ Pickup with a 22RE LCE headers & some exhaust.
It was rebuilt about 50,000 miles ago but it still gives me issues sometimes on the trail.
(Trouble starting, timing issues..)
I got a bunch of weight on the truck (bumper, winch, lumber rack, tire carrier etc..) so it
kinda moves slow.
I’m also swapping out the rear end for a Ford 9inch with lockers, disc brakes, & 5.29 gears.
Going with a 4 inch lift & 35’s.
**Should I just beef up the 22RE with racing components or swap for 3.4 or even a V8??
I def wanna keep it manual.
I need more power to wheel and make it up some dirt hills, tow a buddy who’s stuck, and
not go 35mph up the grapevine...
** I love this truck & will never get rid of it. Put too much $$ into it already. Ready to dump
more for more power. The less I spend the better obviously..
SHOULD I BEEF UP THE 22RE WITH RACING PARTS OR SWAP FOR A 3.4 OR EVEN A
SMALL BLOCK V8?!
Thanks,
Matt A.

nope, I would suggest ether wait for the mods to move it, or copy the text, and start a new thread in here: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f120/ then edit the old one here and add in "moved by me"
