*** DISCLAIMER: I have only tried this in Firefox 2 ***

Okay... try this...
  • Head to: http://www.midiwall.com/4Runner/

  • You should see a "halo" appear around the current search engine drop-down icon.

  • Click the arrow next to the icon and you should see a pick for "Add YotaTech"

  • Click it.

  • You should now see an icon that's a white "YT" on a black background.

  • Enter some text in that box, hit RETURN and you should get the Google search results

no prob Mark ... I have a feeling you actually understand the whole process of how to do it, whereas I just typed a few lines into a generator
So I only spent about 20 min on it

Well, Corey in MY thread (since this one is hijacked pretty good) I included the link to the Mozilla Developer Pages, which explains how to do it all, and how to add a line to the "Head" section so visitors could be auto-notified of the existance of a plug-in for the site (I'm assuming you would need the code on the site somewhere)

I think that people ought to use the search feature, but if they can't be specific enough to get the results they want on the first page, they probably should make a new topic, or not be on the internet.

Put it plain and simple: The search engine is there to decrease the number of reposts and aide the forum member in finding the desired material.

I imagine that most topics (aside from new technologies etc.) have already been covered here, but without a few "filler" topics, the forums would be damn near dead.

Few are arrogantly blissful of the search feature, most don't know what to search for.

Most times the veterans put a few search terms for the newb to use, other times the same people are kinda bored so they run with the thread.

Then again, I don't know jack

SEARCH, NOOB! No, just kidding. I think if the situation warrants it, and it's done in a reasonable way. I too get irritated with those who haven't even tried to search, and just want a spoon-fed answer. It's one thing to PM someone with a question, it's another thing to clutter up the archives with the same stuff, IMHO...

Good work on the Google search though...that's cool!
