OK, more stuff.

This is what I'm looking for!

Close-up shot, clean, cropped,

but,

its not finished. If this had a bumper on there, it would a finished product, and a perfect candidate for the Yotatech Banner.

I would consider mine, but that would be absurb to show my IFS, knowing full well that I'm doing a SAS.

Hmmmmm, cloooose ups
http://www.pnw4runners.com/runs/41203/21.jpg

From a run a few years ago Toddski and I went on.

What would be cool too if it was not a huge file size as in kb, would be to have a few different rigs of each gen that would rotate.
Kind of like having a main banner, then a few seconds later another rotates with it the same size, but shows a 2nd group of rigs.

This way you could have a few of each gen rotating with each other.
Not sure how an animated one would look though.

Very cool.

Indeed, All pictures would be compressed to keep the size down, but maintain their sharp quality.

And yup, all generations should be represented. I can have a couple different options. I'll have up on my website to preview, and you tell me what you think.

OK you Yotatech junkies,

I have thrown a sudo banner together and its up for critique.

THIS IS JUST THE 1ST STAGE, DON'T CRY  IF YOU'RE RIG IS NOT IN THERE, RELAX!

OK, now that that is said, here are the vitals on banner.

The Flash is 875 pixels wide by 131 high.
The size is 176KB. I can reduce this with smaller pics if necessary. I really tried to get away with larger pictures and color, but we may have to go back to gray and smaller pics for the Dial-up folks. Currently there are 20 rigs that are rotated. Being that the caption states Off-Road, I put in rigs that were actually shown Off-Road, not in a parking lot. As well, I cropped the pictures to bring the rig in closer and tighter, and then reduced the photo to the proper size.

Let me know, especially you Corey.

Sorry, I couldn't get the flash inside this post, you're gonna have to go to the page above.

I'm already LOL. I looked around your site for a good flex shot, or one up close. I really wanted to capture the front axle......

Well, since I DON'T HAVE ANY YET of it off-road, only poser shots, it would be hard to find one for sure!

I do have some decent ones of the old 3rd gen...but those are a dime a dozen on here.

I'm in no hurry to get it done...I just work at my own pace and hopefully I can get the fenders trimmed this week at night.

I do have it already on the drawing board to go back to school and work on my welding skills next fall...so I can just do stuff myself from then on...and hopefully move faster.

The banner looks good...I did notice that the old man is in the center pic AGAIN!

I'm sure when the Tijuana Taxi paint job is gone, you'll get in.

looks good. but i have two suggestions...
1. maybe make the pictures cycle thru a little faster/maybe cycle them all at the same time.
2. make the "yotatech.com where the adventure begins" a little smaller like the current one.

just my opinions good work

My idea, and I would do it if I had photoshop is this:

Keep the current scheme, update the photos of the rigs, make Yotatech lettering more prominant, and increase the banner width a tiny bit.

Flash banners are poopy most of the time imo.

Can you define what poopy is?

That's pretty cool looking. I know scofo wanted the banner a little bigger, I was thinking a little smaller. Like right now I'm using a "14 inch unit", and I have to scroll right a little, it doesn't all fit-and the current one does.

Also, it might be nice to see it in black in white, but maybe I'm just pre-disposed to think of it that way, since thats what I'm used to seeing.

Just a little criticism from a guy who almost has a BFA. (And when I get it, I'll be able to wait tables in all the finest restaurants).

I was going to suggest Good Times' truck with the Demello bumpers and all ... but then I remembered his is currently undergoing some major changes, so it might be hard to get a current picture that would remain current for very long. That said, I do think his is the one that ought to represent the 4th gen. just because he has really pushed it, and done some groundbreaking things for the 4th gen.

Is that a picture of his up in the current banner?

I love the concept! Can you make the pictures fade in and out rather than just cut? What are your plans for the text?

A plain or simple animated banner would be best, and also non Flash.
A lot do not have Flash installed, especialy at work where they do not have admin privies to install the Flash setup.

Plus we would like to keep the file size down, about what the current one is.
The current banner is 40,753 bytes.
