Thank you Corey! That terrible Circuit city pop-up monster has been defeated! I use IE at work and have never had a problem with it till today. Glad it's fixed. Someone going to send that dude a msg to tell him it's safe to come back. lol. I wouldn't leave YT but that pop up was definitely limiting my time on YT. Thanks Corey!

I do not have the pop up blocker plugin installed at work, so I did see the Circuit City ad.
But, and I say but, it behaved, it did not jump out at me, rollover and play tricks, or bark at me
It seems Firefox alone without a plugin just shows the ad, it did not act like it did for the users of IE.
Hence why I switched a few years ago to FireFox.
Now at home here on all of my PCs I have that plugin installed, and there is not even an ad where it should show up.
A lot of software we can not install at Boeing, but they approve of FireFox, and we can install it without that "you need administrator privies to install this software."
I know of a lot of other forums that have far more ads than here.
One of my other homes.

They have quite a bit there, but again, I see zero of it with FireFox and that plugin.

Just checking in to this lovely site (since 1:30 PM) and all is well in Yotaland.
Now, I know this will happen again and I KNOW EVERYONE WILL SAY FIREFOX, but! I can't use FF at work. There is no way I can install it, nor download any pop up blocker. What am I (or similar members) supposed to do??? Seriously.

You could get a thumbdrive (USB drive) and install a portable version of firefox that runs exclusively off the drive, better yet, if you do, you can copy your home profile onto the drive so you have all your same stuff (depending on size) on that drive (and not on work computer)

I have a thumb drive and it has an older version of Firefox on it, and Yahoo Widgets.
Even though I can use Firefox at work, I can not install the Yahoo Widgets, and I like the weather one.
When I insert the drive, I can see my weather Widget just fine.
