Ad's

Ya know I recall certain forum staff member(s) telling us when the new company bought YT that we wouldnt be spammed out of our minds, wouldnt get ad's and junk to the extreme and such.

Now I see a nice announcement we will be getting more ad's! I dont mind the ad's at the bottom or tops of the page, but those ANNOYING! ones that are on words int he post piss me off!

Your not living true to your words gentlemen!

From what I just read, those underline ad links are for the archives, and not in threads such as this.

I expressed my thoughts on the underlined ads how I and others hate them, that is all I can do.

I also mentioned that the FJ Cruiser forum I use daily has the ads, but you are given the option to turn off those inteletext ads via your control panel.

Speaking of Ad's - I am sseing adds for perfumes and Jewllery . I thought this site was for 4x4 trucks?!

the Ad's I am seeing I do not want to see - AT ALL.

Why waste the money on putting ad's that are not reaching the right type audience?

Maybe I am just confused, but is this good marketing sense?

What you are seeing are Google AdSense ads.
They go by keywords.

If a thread you are in is talking about tampons, jewelry, then no doubt you will see ads tailored to those "key words", but you should not see those ads on the main page
www.yotatech.com
or the forum listing page
https://www.yotatech.com/forumindex.php
that cater to keywords like that.

I see zero ads here with Firefox, as I run Ad Blocker Plus which has been beaten to death in other ad threads in this section.
Install it, and you will see no ads.

However I am working with the advertising team to get our supporting vendors on the site here a banner ad to the upper right and just below our membership banner.

Those banners are Toyota and vendor parts only if that gets implemented.
There will be no Kotex-Tampon-jewelery ads in that location.

Let me know if any tampon ads pop up at the top or bottom of this thread now by me typing those words, as I can see no ads at all.

LOL - Now that is funny because they are on the front page, a man and a women embracing about to kiss - looks like Jewlery junk for sale.

Lets try this

Guns, ammo, weapons

You will have to tell me though if any ads for those pop up at the top here since I have ads blocked.

He he, I highlighted your word "divacup" above and right clicked it in Firefox, and of course one of the options is to have Google open it up in a new tab.

This is what came up with the new tab search page.
