ok well im am starting a winch bumper as soon as my tubing bender arrives and i am wondering about the winch plate dimensions? People have said 4.5 x 10 and bud built says 4x10. I really dont want to have to buy the bud built winch pans for 40 buck apeice when a can make them myself for like 5 dollars.
What kind of tube do you guys recomend using for tubular winch bumpers? I was thinking like 1.75 .120 wall but i dotn know i havent made these thigns befor.

 

My Warn 8k bolts are 10"x4.5" center to center.

 

that or 1.5 120 is what ill most likely be using.

 

4.5" x 10" is the standard, this spec is straight from the Warn spec sheet.

I would suggest 1.75" x .120wall DOM if you can afford. When you put this much time into a project (there will be lots), it's worth the extra $ for a material that's 40% stronger.
