I read in the paper that someone was attacked by a shark while surfing up near you. I could see in the photo a desert tan colored first gen bed. Any chance it was yours?

Nope that wasn't me. I am not sure who it was but I think the guy came in the shop I work at part time and bought a head from us for that Yota in the photos. I have seen his rig here and there but I don't know him.
Funny thing, I surfed that spot the day before that happened.
It is the wild west up here for sure

So, I usually don't register to these forums, I Google search and move on. When I stumbled on to your SAS thread I hit the bookmark button, pronto!! Then I made it to this thread and had no choice but to register so I could tell you myself how much I A: love what you've done with your truck, truly awesome, as in inspired to awe. And B: That I appreciate that you take the time to answer comments. No pressure to answer mine I just like that you do. When I go to do my SAS your thread will be my sole source. And if I decide to flatbed this thread will be my only reference. Thank you

P.S. I live on the other side of the Trinities, Redding area. nice running in to you neaighbor!

Thank you!

At some point I'd like to repaint my truck. Never liked black, but the truck was a good deal. Leaning towards light grey, white, silver...or maybe Dune Beige now. Your truck looks awesome by the way.

So I have to complement you on your build. I've been wanting to do something like this forever but just haven't had the time or the drive until this year strangely; I'm mainly going to draw from you and drew303. How much of the frame did you have to cut off? But I love what you have done. Have you considered one of super bright LEDs light bars for the bed cause that would be pretty sweet
Thanks

If you like that 1 ton hoist, you gotta see the big 5 and 10 ton cranes we work with at the stone mill! Those suckers are huge! I love cranes. I wish I could have a 1 ton in the garage.

I am considering selling this flatbed! Yes, it needs to go to a good home. A home where someone will love and care for it. I live on the ocean and the ocean doesnt like metal. AT ALL! I would take any reasonable offer. Gas can and tool box included. Jack is mine.

I would love to own that flat bed. I'm in the valley do you have an idea how much you're looking to get out of it? I know you spent quite a bit on it.

it's kinda funny that you post this today. The truck that I own was bought brand new in '88 by my mom. I was just showing her pictures of your flatbed last night and talking to her about how cool it would be to have a bed like that. She agreed. Let me know how much.

Thanks for the inspiration. I'm currently planning a flatbed build for my 84. Don't wanna sound like a kiss a**, but I like what ideas you had. I'm gonna steal some of your ideas(hope you don't mind) and use them on mine. Thanks again!!!
