Does anybody have ideas for sway bar disconnects on my ifs got i currently do not have one on at all and I daily drive my truck so I would like to make some disconnects
Just drive without the sway bar. I took mine off and haven't looked back.
But if you really want quick disconnects, I believe Wab-Fab still makes them, but they're expensive and you'll have to deal with their slow/horrible service.
Back in the day, I just replaced the link with a turn buckle. Then to disconnect just turn the turn buckle until it opened and toss the.... Buckle?... In the glove box. Worked great.
After doing some reading, and viewing what others did.. I thought this might work.....
Fortunately for me, I have a buddy that works for Webster's Machine Shop. They machine a lot of racing suspension parts for Alston Engineering. Mostly parts for shocks and what not.
Recently the machine shop were machining shock rods. I cut the ends off and my buddy Tim, machined the ends to fit female air hose couplers.
I then got two female air hose couplers. One that was male and one female.
Here is the whole thing...
I'm still testing them out.
Machined shock rod end....<br/>
Sway are quick disconnect for ifs front.
Here are some more pictures...
Sway bar quick disconnect for ifs front.
I had two different hose couplers. So these have been machined for both kinds.
See the difference?
