I am running Allpro/hybrid springs...about 1.5 inches fwd. I would move my steering box if I need more than 3/4 inch difference to clear. I may move it and brace it later if I decide to run bigger tires or change the configuration.

For now though, I will replace the pitman arm.

My 2wd pitman arm was not even close to fitting...the hole with splines was too small.....

I guess I will call Sky tomorrow...anyone else make a 3/4 drop pitman other than Sky and OTT??

Finally took the truck out to the trail and I don't seem have any pitman arm problems. It doesn't look like it from the pictures, but the bumpstops really help.

Both TG and Marlin say bumpstops (and the extensions) must be used or the warranty is void for the springs.

YOu know I am no expert on this SAS stuff but could you also get the 2wd steering box and swap it in? Wouldn't the spline issue be solved?

Or is the gear box totally diff for a 2wd and not strong enough?

2wd box bolts on w/ 2 mounts, IIRC, instead of 3.

Why not just use a flat Pitman arm as opposed to just a shorter one?

With a flat pitman you would still need need to move the steering box, otherwise the pitman will not clear the frame.
