You would want the vafm door to stay level. If it is tilted, then going over any bumps would cause it to open and close, perhaps causing a lean and then rich condition and...less power.

Finally got my Supra AFM those are not very easy to find, just have to gather a few more parts and mine will be next

what size hoses did you guys use in the swap and were did you get them. I was looking at some silicon hoses over at polyperformance, little pricy though.

I used 2.75" ID (rubber) hose to fit over the 2.75" OD AFM and throttle body ends:

FWIW you could have used the stock batt. tray/hold down if you had to... on toyotas up to 95.5 the left side of the engine bay is fitted with the body nuts and holes to use the tiedown since the 2L-TE diesels we did'nt commonly get here used a dual batt. set up.
It looks like on yours all you'd have had to do is drill a small hole in the flat spot on the front of the wheel well.
That is one beefy batt tray you made however...
