new welding table

needed some welding tables for the new shop , so I decided to build my own . table top is 2 pieces of 3/8 sandwiched . 2X4 legs with 6" lockable wheels on all 4's . lower shelf cutout allows for "leg room" , when i'm sittin' at the table tig'n swap headers
got 1 built today , going to buiild 1 more tomorrow

I think he would be better off selling instructions. "2 pieces of 3/8" sandwiched together". Thats heavy. Looks about 24"x48". The table probably weighs 150 lbs.

yeah .. dont want to be shipping this one .. no way .. i'd cost a furtune , need to run it over the truck scales yet .

I can go into more detail if you want ? with measurements and such on the 2nd table

I've got another sitting in a box (freebie) but i cant put it togther -_- my parents are complaining about all my tools being in their garage psshhh..anywho maybe ill scavange some parts from that and make some sort of super welding table, with rockets or something

How do you plan to keep it from rolling away.

Looks to have been built for welding little jobs is the next one going to be at least 4'x8'

thanks , and nope , so far I have no need for a large table like that ! it'll work for the jobs we do for now and with both together will be much more then we need at the moment . + there are locks on all 4 wheels or 8 wheels on 2 tables

just one 2x4 of 3/8" plt. is 122 lbs! I would say closer to 400 lbs....

ohh yeh .. there heavy . not sure the exact weight , but guestamating in about the 320 mark .. they roll very nice !!
