sometimes i wish i'd gotten the smaller one, sometimes i dont. Yea its big but having a 32 gallon capacity has its perks for long trips. Especially for a monster that likely wont get jack for MPG.

Finished cutting and fitting the air intake tubing. It's tack welded together and ready to go to my machine shop friend that REALLY knows how to weld. I'd try to do it myself but dont want to risk wasting the EXPENSIVE mandrel bends and having the possibility of leaks in the welds. I'll put up pictures when its ready for paint.

fuel lines are now pressure tested. Gauge reads a steady 30 psi. It's getting closer. . . .

air conditioning died at the machine shop that is going to weld my air intake so everyone has been given vacation time till it gets fixed. Not many people too keen on welding indoors in 95+ degrees with high humidity and no air flow.

i did decide however that im gonna send the intake tubing and exhaust manifold off to get ceramic coated

air intake came back from getting welded today. Test fitting before its sent off to be ceramic coated by jet-hot coatings.

as you can see i'm not doing an intercooler at this time. It should be fine for <8-10 psi. If i want to turn the boost up eventually i have to re-do it but if i'm gonna go through that much trouble i'll get a front facing intake manifold made so the pressure side of the turbo doesnt have to cross the top of the engine.

While that tubing is off at the ceramic coaters i'm going to work on the rest of the electrical work i need to tie up.

thats why i got a nice aftermarket Blow-off valve (the HKS unit next to the fuse box for those not aware) that vents to atmosphere. Much louder than the stock one that recirculates back to the intake.

The copper cable is going to the starter, the red cable is some leftovers from my old car stereo that i used to wire the main lead to the fuse box. Theres no stereo equipment in the truck for now (you can see the rats nest of wires where my amps used to sit behind the sub box which was about the size of the fuel cell now in the same position) but i plan to put a little something back in it eventually. I don't recall the gauges of wire off the top of my head. I mounted my battery in the rear of the truck so obviously i had to run all new leads for the powered components. The red wire is actually just running up the middle of the cab for now because i didnt have enough length to curve it around the edges to hide it. It will get cleaned up eventually.

It goes well. The intake piping is off the the cermaic coaters and I am going to try and knock out all the Autometer gauge, fuel controller, and wideband wiring this weekend so its ready to go when the intake comes back. Slap the radiator and ignition stuff on after that and it "SHOULD" fire up. . .

In cali you have to use the original fuel tank, you can't use any sort of aftermarket fuel cell... sucks...

I'm gonna register it in South Carolina (through my parents), they don't have ANY inspections there safety/emmissions/whatever. If it moves its legal.
