How long would you say it took you to just do the rear (without cutting the brackets off your axle tube)?
CUTTING AND GRINDING!!! Actually hanging the hanging axle is no big deal (just make sure you are square and have proper placement in the wheel well.)

I'm thinking the trip on the 17th is going to die and not happen.

I think it’ll happen unless we run into a major problem with my leaf conversion. I don’t see that happening so I think we’re good to go.

Marc's working on his drive shafts this week and weekend. That's all he really needs to be done.

We're doing my rear leaf conversion this weekend and I'm going to finish my e-locker wiring next week. That’ll put me with a built enough rig to wheel the 17th.

Me and you both. I'm tired of spending $$$$$$ and not getting to wheel.

I’ve finally gotten off my a$$ and taken some pictures of the Runner with the rear leaf springs. Marc has pictures of the progress during the swap. I need to get him to email them to me.

I’d like to thank both Marc (for his help) “Thanks Man!” and Mary (his better half) for putting up with this stuff.

Here are some pictures of it with 33” (33” and 5.29’s = power with a 3.0). I’ll have some with the 35” later tonight or tomorrow.

I still need to figure out the shocks. The first attempt ended with the shocks getting torn off.

I might be getting a Tundra. I found one for a killer deal - I’m in the process of getting the $$$ together for it. If I get it I guess I’ll be one of the trailer king guys and the Runner will be getting some new 38.5”.

Thanks Will.

Yea sliders are in the works.

I'll miss my sig line. The only reason for getting the Tundra is becuase of the deal I can get. I'll still drive the 4Runner to and from the trails some. I love driving it now, it drives WAY better than stock.

FYI: If you only have liability on your trail rig to drive it on the road, put it under a special limited mileage policy like I did my 85. Under 7500 miles a year and it is a LOT cheaper than just plain old liability.

Thanks,

I didn’t even think about or know about that.

Hey Gregg, did you have any trouble getting the U-bolt to fit with the spring and elocker in the front. I was looking at mine last night and it looks like I need to clearnace the outside of the housing a bit for a U-bolt to go on.

You have to switch out the 2 actuator bolts for counter sunk ones. I’ll see if I can find a picture.
